This 4-session beginner workshop is designed specifically for teens aged 13+ who want to learn how to sew properly from the start. Students will learn to use a sewing machine confidently while creating practical projects they can wear, use and proudly show off.

What You’ll Create & Learn?

Over four sessions, you will complete:

👜 Tote Bag: Learn accurate cutting and straight seams while completing a practical everyday bag.

🎒 Drawstring Swim Bag: Refine straight stitching and construction techniques.

🩳 Pyjama Shorts: Your first dressmaking project — learn basic garment construction and hemming.

💄 Zip Wash / Make-Up Bag: Insert a zipper and work with smaller, detailed components.

• How to thread and set up a sewing machine

• Sewing straight lines with correct seam allowance

• Fabric cutting and pinning

• Zig zag finishing

• Basic hemming techniques

• Introductory garment construction

If no teenage class dates are listed on the calendar, teens (15+) are welcome to join our Adult Beginner Sewing Course.
