INTRO TO JERSEY
SEW A WARDROBE STAPLE
Learn to sew knit fabric on a regular sewing machine with this Intro to Jersey course. If you have never sewn with Jersey before, let me show you the ropes.
Choose between two patterns: Agnes Top by Tilly & the buttons or Lark Tee by Grainline Studio.
Agnes is a close-fitting top finished with a narrow neckband. Irresistibly wearable and endlessly versatile, make it with long or cropped sleeves, plain or ruched at the shoulder and scoop neckline or ruched sweetheart neckline.
the Lark Tee is your closet’s new best friend. It’s great on its own or under your favorite button up, sweater, or blazer. All four sleeves are interchangeable with each of the necklines resulting in 16 potential different tees in one pattern!
Both patterns are great wardrobe staple that you will make again and again! And, with those Jersey scraps, we will also make your a comfy pair of knickers.
What will you learn?
In the first session we will trace the pattern and cut your fabric for the top and your pair of undies.
In the second session, we will construct the top, get crisp neckband, sewing sleeves and twin needle or zig zag the neckline and hems.
In the third session, we make your pair of knickers ensuring we will have very little scrap fabric for a more sustainable sewing experience.
