Get a first feel to crochet or knit in our Intro to Crochet & Knitting. We will get you comfortable holding your yarn and crochet hook (or knitting needle) and show you the basics around your chosen craft.

What will you learn?

Crochet: 

Learn basics: How to hold yarn and crochet hook. Make the Slip knot, Chain and Single crochet stitch. Make a Headband. Learn Half double and Double crochet stitches. Learn how to read patterns, implement various crochet stitches, and make small samplers. Complete work on patterns. Learn how to make the magic circle and crochet in the round. Crochet a coaster with scallop edge.

Knitting:

As a beginner, you will learn how to cast-on (aka start your project), how to work the knit stitch, how to have nice and neat edges and how to bind-off (as in finish your project). Once you have the basics set, we will build your confidence and introduce new skills (purl, increase, decrease…). We will also give you all the knowledge to get you started on your knitting journey.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for adults who are complete beginners and never held any yarn before. The workshop is also a great refresher for those that have knitted/crocheted previously and just want to refresh their memory.
