Do you struggle to decide on how to match your fabric to your patterns and want to know what to look for when buying fabric online? We will demystify all of these, whilst letting you touch and feel a range of different fabric types and answer any questions you have about fabric.

What will you learn?

We will talk you through different types of fabrics, both woven and knit and the large range of weaves in those categories. We will explain what the many different names and weights of fabrics mean and how they’ll affect your finished garment.​ You will receive a swatch book and reference guide of different fabric types.​

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for adults who are complete novice to sewing and up.

What is included in the course? And what do I have to bring?

The class includes expert instruction, handy fabric guide and swatch selection plus tea, coffee and biscuits (our evening sessions will have alcohol-free Gin & Tonic!) and you will also receive 10% off any fabric purchases on the day.

If you would like to bring a pattern you have been struggling to chose fabric for, or maybe you have a mystery fabric in your stash and we can identify it together.
