INTRO TO DRAPEY FABRIC
TAKE YOUR SEWING SKILLS TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Learn how to sew tricky lightweight drapey fabrics such as silk, crepe de chine or rayon and make a beautiful top whilst doing so!
The Sutton Blouse is a loose fitting V-neck top with kimono sleeves, a one piece yoke, and a back inverted pleat. The back is longer than the front and includes slits at both of the lower side seams.
What will you learn?
In the first session we will take care of all the pre-work: from tracing the pattern, cutting the fabric to making our own bias tape.
In the second session, we will construct the top using French Seams and sew the bias tape in to get a professional finished neckline.
In the third session, we will finish the garment in a professional manner.
